archer>malmo was founded in 1952 by Ward Archer, Sr., as Ward Archer and Associates. In 1991, the firm acquired John Malmo Advertising in Memphis, making it the largest agency in Memphis and the Mid-South area. Today archer>malmo is the largest marketing communications agency in Tennessee and one of the largest in the Southeast, providing public relations, experiential marketing, interactive strategy, creative and media buying services.
The agency's public relations practice is the largest in the Mid-South area, representing a broad range of business categories in business-to-business and business-to-consumer PR on a national level and attracting PR talent from across the United States. The agency represents national clients such as Merry Maids (5 years), Terminix (3 years), Valent U.S.A. Corporation (8 years), American Home Shield (2 years), Constellation Spirits' OLO Premium Brazilian Rum (new), Colgate-Palmolive's Murphy Oil Soap (9 years), AutoZone (1 year), and local clients such as Memphis Tomorrow and Dyersburg State Community College.
Though we serve a variety of local, regional and national clients, our fundamental commitment to Memphis is demonstrated by our involvement in the community through board memberships, pro-bono work, volunteerism and other civic affairs. In fact, we teach a crash course on Memphis history, culture, people and politics called "Memphis 101," a proprietary curriculum that is reserved for CEOs and senior-level newcomers to Memphis and clients who need an insider's view into why Memphis is what it is today – and how to navigate the unfamiliar territory.
archer>malmo has been named in the top 25 best small companies to work for in America by the Society of Human Resource Management for four consecutive years.
